Aruvi - My View

Wondering how and where to start about the movie. This movie offers a lot of things and I am having a difficulty which one to start with. Should it be on the characters or premise or content or actors or the team. All deserve a standing applause for the excellent product called Aruvi. The story is about a girl called aruvi and her life. This is a story line, we all are aware of but what sets aruvi different is the content and treatment. The incidents that happen in her story are something that you might not think of but might have heard of in your surroundings. Her happiness, dream, fight, pride, loss, betrayal and sadness form the whole story which also shows the dark world we live in. There are many slapping moments all through the movie which you are aware of but ignore in your day to day life like exploiting a powerless if you have power and many more. This movie will make you to remind all those dark stuffs and hit you hard like a slap on your face. That hard hitting tru...

Vikram Vedha - My View

Vikram Vedha is a movie which shouldn't be missed. I don't remember how many times I have started a movie with such positive quote but I am I am happy this one start on the good note. Not only my view but the movie too starts out on the good positive note. The directors clearly make the audience to prepare for the movie from the movie title to the title cards. The plot of the story is Vedha who is a gangster presents puzzles to Vikram the police officer. How Vikram solves the puzzles and what it leads to is the rest of the story. My friend Sathish always use to say this (a director) half of the movie is done when the casting is done, The movies perfection and satisfying performance is due to the perfect casting, Right from the leads to the support characters all are cast perfectly and all have delivered a commanding performance. The sharp dialogues, BGM and excellent shots all through the movie are a huge plus for the movie. The first half was super fast and you ...

Death Parade - Episode 3 (Rolling Ballade) - My View

More 9 episodes to go but just this episode is enough to put this series on my best list. This series is simply superb and episode 3 is magical and full of love. I am not sure if I am a sensitive guy or what but this episode made me cry that's how heart touching it was. Completely different from the last two episodes and touches your heart. It is full of warmth and love and emotions high. This episode was more like enjoying a heartfelt romance with few twists. Love, rejection, acceptance, fear of expressing and happy ending all these are seen in this episode. Have you ever enjoyed a coffee leisurely staring at the pouring rain and the clouds? If you did you will know it is a serene feel and you would love to freeze that moment in your life and stay for an eternal in there. That's the kind of feel this episode gives to us. An episode of just 29-22 mins gives you a state which is very difficult to enjoy in real life. You watch the series or not that is secondary b...

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion - My View

Movie is about the experience which makes us travel into a different world. We often dream and we never think about any logic or look for flaws in it. We travel and experience the dream. It is the experience that's what matters. This movie gives that experience. Bahubali has its flaws but the experience it offers makes us go over it and cherish the movie. The experience we live in is on a different scale where you applause for many scenes and when the movie ends you can't stop from giving a good applause to it. And when you realise it's not only you who is applauding but many others along with you then you are all together in a different kind of feel. The feel you are not alone. If the first part was about son the second part is about dad. This part says who Bahubali was and how he lost his powers and does his son gets to the power or not. The performance from the actors is simply superb. Even the word superb doesn't justify for all their effor...

Teen Titans: The Judas Contract (My View)

More than the live adaptation movies, I personally love the animated version of DC movies. Always felt the animations are more faithful to the comics than the movies. In recent times, the animations were only of an average level when compared to the goodness it offered in the past. Looks like DC animations have found their way back with this movie. The plot focuses about the new Titan Terra trying to get a foot inside the team and at the same time, we see Starfire and Nightwing going towards relationship level. On another hand, we see two villains Deathstroke and Brother Blood setting a plan in motion to defeat and capture Teen Titans. The rest of the story is whether the villains become successful and why they want to capture the Titans and is Terra able to become a part of Titans family.  As said at the start of this article, after a long time DC animation team has given a perfect movie to us. All characters get a chance to showcase their presence in the story...

Sing (2016) - My View

Movies give an array of feelings and experiences to us. One such experience is movies that make us travel to the world where we can meet our inner child in us. This is the world where we can laugh out loud, shed our tears without thinking about anything and be as we wish to be. And in this, we sing out loud and tap our feet with the songs that go around. The movie is about few animals and their dreams in the singing world. Within few minutes into the movie, we believe that all animals can live together in a house surrounded by human inventions and they can sing and interact just like humans. The whole movie team wins there, the moment, we start to believe this world and get into it. The story happens in the Anthropomorphism world. The story is about a Koala (Buster) who wants to become successful in the show business and his journey towards achieving it. He has an Iguana as assistant and Sheep friend who are with him for support. After several acts resulting in failures as the la...

Justice League Dark - My View

First thing first. JL Dark is far better by many miles when compared to the last animation film "The Killing Joke" from DC world. The plot starts with law abiding citizens attacking fellow humans claiming they appeared to be demons in their eyes. The JL investigates and can't find any clue. This leads Batman to go for dark art experts. The rest of the story is who the Dark Arts heroes are and how they are forming a team, were they able to stop this madness and save the world. From the DC animation world, we have seen only a few movies which concentrate on other heroes apart from Batsy, Supes or Wonder Girl. This movie falls on the list of few kind. The JL Dark team in this movie is of Constantine, Zatanna, Deadman and Etrigan, of course, Batsy can be considered as a tag along. All the team members have their own set of special magic or dark arts skills which make them enter into this special league. Do watch out for two more heroes in the movies who may not be par...

Kodi - My View

The whole story is set on political premise and it is all about who reaches the power and how they reach it. We have seen quite some movies set in this premise and some are cult classics. This is where the director acts smart by adding the rivalry between lovers from opposite parties and to make things more interesting the twins concept. The director has chosen the cast correctly but as missed to extract the performance from one of the main leads. Dhanush as the honest and rough Kodi and as smart and timid brother twin has rocked his role and have done to perfection. Either look-wise or mannerism he shows the difference and does complete justice to the role. In fact, he is one of the core strength for the movie. Trisha has done a decent job as a power hungry politician and lover. This is one strong role and a dream role to any. An actress of her level with her experience should have rocked the role and made hers like Ramya Krishnan did Nilambari or Jyotika in Pacha K...

Pichaikaran (2016) - My View

Time is not under our control. We can plan to carry out things within a certain time but we can never be sure if we can do it as decided and the simple reason behind is time is not under our control. Things are bound to happen when it is time and when it is we won't even be able to so anything on it apart from being on the flow of the events during the time. One might wonder why I am talking about time and what it has to do with the movie. There are two behind this. One is personal which is after n number of attempts to watch the movie only now the time had come to see it. The other is related to the movie. In a way, the movie is set on time and at the point of time, the events that take place and the decisions followed by is what the whole movie is about. Before going inside the movie let me say a few thoughts on the title. After watching the movie, I am still wondering if any other title could replace the current one, However, can't find a better title for the movie ...

Flashpoint - My View

For few days (months), I have been cursing myself and making plans one after other to sit and read a book or comics, Due to work schedule and having a one and a half cute angel to handle the plans never comprised to reality. Sometimes the certain wait is worth and could have a reason to which we might not know at that time. I believe all those waits were to read FLASHPOINT. After many years, I had a chance to read a hardcopy English comics. Quite an experience, Thanks to my friend Sai for the book. Picked the book to read at 11 pm and the journey ended at around 1 pm. There were few pieces of stuff which I felt missing but on a whole it was a good book to read from start to end. The story starts with Flash waking up in his office desk and soon realises things have changed around him including him being powerless. I am not going to say what all have changed because each change is emotionally woven into each other and if you are someone who has been following Flash for a while you...
