Wondering how and where to start about the
movie. This movie offers a lot of things and I am having a difficulty which one
to start with. Should it be on the characters or premise or content or actors
or the team. All deserve a standing applause for the excellent product called
Aruvi.
The story is about a girl called aruvi and
her life. This is a story line, we all are aware of but what sets aruvi
different is the content and treatment. The incidents that happen in her story
are something that you might not think of but might have heard of in your surroundings.
Her happiness, dream, fight, pride, loss, betrayal and sadness form the whole
story which also shows the dark world we live in. There are many slapping
moments all through the movie which you are aware of but ignore in your day to
day life like exploiting a powerless if you have power and many more. This
movie will make you to remind all those dark stuffs and hit you hard like a
slap on your face. That hard hitting truth is the story and the hero of the
movie.
All actors and actress are new in the movie
except Lakshmi. Every single one perfectly nailed their role and has breathed
life to their characters. Aruvi, Laksmi, Emily, Assistant Director and office
boy had a strong role in the movie and they simply outperformed it. The
Director should be lauded for thinking something like this and delivering it to
perfection. It is never easy to give an emotional movie and it should be in a perfect
blend. If anything goes less or higher on the emotional part the whole movie
would become a ridicule. But the director has ensured in giving us a perfect
movie.
The movie starts with happiness, then moves
through a questioning and suspense phase and post interval a complete laugh
riot and in end complete sadness. I can’t remember the last movie in which I
laughed myself out loudly and cried at the same time. As much laughter I had
during the second half start, had the same level of tears at the end. I was controlling
the tears, but they were flowing like a waterfall and there was this dying
silence accompanying it. A movie is about entertainment, but certain movies offers
more than entertainment. Aruvi is not only entertaining, but also hard hitting
with certain bitter truths. My only negative is the director could have shown
the disease affecting scenes a bit slower so one could get a good grasp of it.
It is the most important part, but was seemed like rushed up. The lack of
knowledge, trust issue, betrayal and how ignoring and loneliness can be the
worst things in the world can’t be captured any better than this as this movie
did.
I wish the team gets lots of awards and
this movie ends up making lots of money so that we can get more beautiful
movies like Aruvi. Aditi’s performance was not like a newcomer it was revelation.
Hope she wins the best actress award for the year. If anyone says this is the
first movie of director Arun it is hard to believe. To do a movie like this on
his first outing and to deliver it with perfection and hard hitting requires skills
which one can boast of. Hope he wins the
best director award. The producer should be thanked and lauded for believing in
a movie like this and getting it out. Another huge plus in the movie is music
and cinematography. Both were very much a character in the movie and ensured we
stayed in the mood of the movie all along. Dialogues were a treat and the
quirky ones were out of the earth. Without those rib ticking and hard hitting
dialogues this movie would have been nothing. Hats off to the dialogue writer.
The whole theatre was laughing out loud
post interval and during the last 15-20 mins the same audience were in pin drop
silence and many were seen teary eyed like me in the end. At the end of the
movie many stood up and applauded and I happily joined them because this movie
deserved every bit of respect. All movies don’t give us that impact and get
that kind of respect. Only rare gems like Aruvi does.
Aruvi is an emotional waterfall which
drenches you with its emotions whose effects might take an eternity to wear
off. You will enjoy happiness by going
to your childhood and young days in the first half and will laugh yourself out
in the second half with tears flowing at the end. Especially the last 15
minutes like a waterfall you tears will flow uninterrupted and like the heavy
thuds of a waterfall your heart will feel heavy thuds. This is one of the best
movies I have seen in my life and would recommend to anyone any day. If anyone
says suggest me some good Indian movies to watch for then this one will
definitely be on it. The movie which starts with an individual girl raising her
voice against the wrongs done to her ends up as a voice on a social cause for
millions in the end. My respect and salutes to team Aruvi.
