Sing (2016) - My View

Movies give an array of feelings and experiences to us. One such experience is movies that make us travel to the world where we can meet our inner child in us. This is the world where we can laugh out loud, shed our tears without thinking about anything and be as we wish to be. And in this, we sing out loud and tap our feet with the songs that go around. The movie is about few animals and their dreams in the singing world. Within few minutes into the movie, we believe that all animals can live together in a house surrounded by human inventions and they can sing and interact just like humans. The whole movie team wins there, the moment, we start to believe this world and get into it.

The story happens in the Anthropomorphism world. The story is about a Koala (Buster) who wants to become successful in the show business and his journey towards achieving it. He has an Iguana as assistant and Sheep friend who are with him for support. After several acts resulting in failures as the last attempt, Buster tries to do a show on a singing competition. A mother pig,  exuberant male pig, street musician mouse, mobster's son gorilla, punk-rock porcupine and shy teenage elephant are the selected contestants for the show. The rest of the story is about who wins the competition, is Buster becoming successful and the individual challenges faced by these main characters. During the story, we come across sacrifices, friendship, hard work,  teamwork and self-belief.

The main core plot is everyone can dream and if one works hard and is ready to come out of their shell they can achieve their dreams. The part which I really loved in this story is the friendship shared between the Sheep and Koala. we can pick a lot of lessons from it and implement in our lives.  The whole movie has a lot of learnings but the friendship between the Sheep and Koala is the best. Also, the relationship shared between the assistant Iguana and boss Koala is also wonderful. In spite of their troubled company position both support each other in many ways and we can learn a whole lot of employee-employer relationship from it.

Every contestant backstory and how they want to achieve their dreams is cute and breezy. We fall for all the characters the way the director has intended. For example, we are expected to hate the mouse and we all do it. The voice artists have done a great job by giving life to the characters and great kudos to the animators for bringing the characters live.

The songs are the major plus for the movie and it ensures to make your foot tap and we have n number of sequences around where we laugh out loud or give a full satisfied smile with scenes that gets transcribed on the screen. The few disappointments in the movie are the way they ended the mouse story. The other is Elephant part. From start, they have showcased Meena the elephant is going to be the surprise package and show stealer. However, her final song doesn't give the finishing punch as it should which make you feel wanting more or feel it didn't do justice to all the build up that were created throughout the movie. The performance songs by Pigs, Gorilla and Porcupine are a real treat and the mouse one ends up to be a good one.

On the whole, this is a movie with a lot of learning and of all takes you to your inner world where you can jump like a kid and sing out loud. Go for that experience. We need that in this busy world as we tend to forget we were a child once and even now we have one which is hidden deep inside. Sometimes, we need movies of this kind to remind us what we miss. It sends out a positive feel around you which makes you go and enjoy your day like a kid,

I experienced it and hopefully, you can also experience it.

Vikram Vedha - My View

Vikram Vedha is a movie which shouldn't be missed. I don't remember how many times I have started a movie with such positive quote but I am I am happy this one start on the good note. Not only my view but the movie too starts out on the good positive note. The directors clearly make the audience to prepare for the movie from the movie title to the title cards. The plot of the story is Vedha who is a gangster presents puzzles to Vikram the police officer. How Vikram solves the puzzles and what it leads to is the rest of the story. My friend Sathish always use to say this (a director) half of the movie is done when the casting is done, The movies perfection and satisfying performance is due to the perfect casting, Right from the leads to the support characters all are cast perfectly and all have delivered a commanding performance. The sharp dialogues, BGM and excellent shots all through the movie are a huge plus for the movie. The first half was super fast and you ...

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion - My View

Movie is about the experience which makes us travel into a different world. We often dream and we never think about any logic or look for flaws in it. We travel and experience the dream. It is the experience that's what matters. This movie gives that experience. Bahubali has its flaws but the experience it offers makes us go over it and cherish the movie. The experience we live in is on a different scale where you applause for many scenes and when the movie ends you can't stop from giving a good applause to it. And when you realise it's not only you who is applauding but many others along with you then you are all together in a different kind of feel. The feel you are not alone. If the first part was about son the second part is about dad. This part says who Bahubali was and how he lost his powers and does his son gets to the power or not. The performance from the actors is simply superb. Even the word superb doesn't justify for all their effor...

Teen Titans: The Judas Contract (My View)

More than the live adaptation movies, I personally love the animated version of DC movies. Always felt the animations are more faithful to the comics than the movies. In recent times, the animations were only of an average level when compared to the goodness it offered in the past. Looks like DC animations have found their way back with this movie. The plot focuses about the new Titan Terra trying to get a foot inside the team and at the same time, we see Starfire and Nightwing going towards relationship level. On another hand, we see two villains Deathstroke and Brother Blood setting a plan in motion to defeat and capture Teen Titans. The rest of the story is whether the villains become successful and why they want to capture the Titans and is Terra able to become a part of Titans family.  As said at the start of this article, after a long time DC animation team has given a perfect movie to us. All characters get a chance to showcase their presence in the story...
