13 Reasons Why - My View

A must watch series which is haunting and beautiful. It sheds light on various activities which we do or have done in the past in our day to day life which might have hurt people lives in ways we could have never imagined. The series talks strongly on issues like bullying, sexual assault, character assaulting, negligence, friendship, betrayal, and love. This is kind of an eye opener and self-assessment one.

A girl called Hannah takes her life and records 13 tapes explaining who all were responsible for her death. Along with the reasons behind her suicide the series talks about various social issues around us on a sublime note. Like the gay/lesbian, teenage emotions, domestic violence, drug abuse, gun culture and a lot.

Great performances from all the leads and every single one have done full justice to their roles. When we go through different feelings like closure for Clay, helplessness for Hannah and anger to take apart Bryce's head then you know the performances of the leads were not just good but great. The director should be lauded for successfully bringing out these performances from the artists which are not an easy task. This is an emotional series and could have easily gone as a boring, crying one but in turn, it shows different emotions and struggles of teenagers. Not only that but it also covers different family compositions and people in the community and how their actions have an impact on the kids. This is a series where we can sit and talk about a lot of characters and what makes them end up like that.

When you come across the last three tapes you might have some tears across and don't get surprised if you feel like was I ever responsible for someone's tear or sadness. The whole intent of the series is to make us asking those questions and in end coming out as a better human.

At times certain scenes are like tight slaps to us making us wonder what we have been. We think we are living in a safe, worry-free, non-judgmental world but the reality is different and this one shows that reality to us. Though the 13 tapes of Hannah might talk only about those whom she had got to encounter but there are many chances we can see ourselves as one of the people in the tape at least once or twice. That is the real success of the show.

My favorite characters in the show are Tony, Sheri, Clay and of course Hannah who wouldn't love her. The soundtracks were brilliant and I am going to search for them and add it to my music collection. The series is based on a  novel and I am getting that one too.

A hard-hitting show, which would stay with me for many days to come asking again and again “What you can do to be better and make your world safer”. The story grows so deep on you that you will not be able to come out of it even after the series ends.

Vikram Vedha - My View

Vikram Vedha is a movie which shouldn't be missed. I don't remember how many times I have started a movie with such positive quote but I am I am happy this one start on the good note. Not only my view but the movie too starts out on the good positive note. The directors clearly make the audience to prepare for the movie from the movie title to the title cards. The plot of the story is Vedha who is a gangster presents puzzles to Vikram the police officer. How Vikram solves the puzzles and what it leads to is the rest of the story. My friend Sathish always use to say this (a director) half of the movie is done when the casting is done, The movies perfection and satisfying performance is due to the perfect casting, Right from the leads to the support characters all are cast perfectly and all have delivered a commanding performance. The sharp dialogues, BGM and excellent shots all through the movie are a huge plus for the movie. The first half was super fast and you ...

Sing (2016) - My View

Movies give an array of feelings and experiences to us. One such experience is movies that make us travel to the world where we can meet our inner child in us. This is the world where we can laugh out loud, shed our tears without thinking about anything and be as we wish to be. And in this, we sing out loud and tap our feet with the songs that go around. The movie is about few animals and their dreams in the singing world. Within few minutes into the movie, we believe that all animals can live together in a house surrounded by human inventions and they can sing and interact just like humans. The whole movie team wins there, the moment, we start to believe this world and get into it. The story happens in the Anthropomorphism world. The story is about a Koala (Buster) who wants to become successful in the show business and his journey towards achieving it. He has an Iguana as assistant and Sheep friend who are with him for support. After several acts resulting in failures as the la...

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion - My View

Movie is about the experience which makes us travel into a different world. We often dream and we never think about any logic or look for flaws in it. We travel and experience the dream. It is the experience that's what matters. This movie gives that experience. Bahubali has its flaws but the experience it offers makes us go over it and cherish the movie. The experience we live in is on a different scale where you applause for many scenes and when the movie ends you can't stop from giving a good applause to it. And when you realise it's not only you who is applauding but many others along with you then you are all together in a different kind of feel. The feel you are not alone. If the first part was about son the second part is about dad. This part says who Bahubali was and how he lost his powers and does his son gets to the power or not. The performance from the actors is simply superb. Even the word superb doesn't justify for all their effor...
